The Skin of Our Teeth
September 2024

…a bold and imaginative production that embraces Thornton Wilder's signature blend of pathos and absurdity. Under Joe McGrath's direction, The Rogue Theatre's ensemble brings verve and precision…a provocative adventure.
—Robert Encila, Tucson Sentinel Review

…one of the most delicious dinners I had ever had.
—Dottie D., Audience Member

I want to thank you, and the company, for your thoughtful, engaging, meaningful, timely, and hilarious performance of a complex play.
—Rachel H., Audience Member

…there is comfort in being reminded that the long history of humanity can be seen as the chronicle of surviving...your efforts made Wilder’s sense of truth and hope come through to me yesterday, and it was a great thing.

The Playboy of the Western World
January/February 2025

Synge's beautiful lyricism is given full breadth by this in-tune cast.
–Kathleen Allen, Arizona Daily Star Review

...the energy of your production brought the pathos of Synge's drama to a fever pitch.
We were impressed by the charm and music of the language. And the paradox of human nature!
–Cheryl L., Audience Member

This ensemble is just hysterical—and what a treat to see these actors we've come to know transform.
–Susan B., Audience Member

[Joseph] McGrath gathers himself into a rolling ball of energy as he sputters and growls...[the play] feels as modern as today.
–Chuck Graham, Review at Let The Show Begin! and TucsonStage.com

"Masterpiece" is correct. Not a word could be added or subtracted to improve the play.
The Rogue Theatre's first-rate production dragged me in and carried me along clearly and emotionally.

Marjorie Prime
February-March 2025

The Rogue, once again, entertains and provokes us.
We're lucky Tucson has the theatre company.

–Kathleen Allen, Arizona Daily Star Review

...brilliantly performed.
–Chuck Graham, Review at Let The Show Begin! and TucsonStage.com

...as usual The Rogue forces us to confront difficult subjects and to think and feel more deeply...
an incredible ensemble, and the music made everything all the more poignant.

–Laura K., Audience Member

I've been thinking about it ever since I saw it. So, so good.
–Shannon C., Audience Member

Once again, The Rogue Theatre knocks it out of the park! I’m sure I, too, will not be able to get this play out of my mind for many, many days. Brilliant.

Romeo and Juliet
April-May 2025

“I was mesmerized.”
—Jana K., Audience Member

“I felt like I was seeing and hearing the story for the very first time! Bravo to all involved!”
—Sarah M., Audience Member

“We were there on opening night! It was marvelous! One of the best Rogue plays we’ve ever seen, and we’ve been coming for some 12 years!”
—Ruth K., Audience Member

“I saw the play last night with my students. It was ASTONISHING! Every aspect of it. The thing that I FELT so much was the love between Juliet and her Romeo. Bryn and Hunter were FANTASTIC!”
—Patrick B., Audience Member

“Just saw Romeo and Juliet. WOW...fantastic cast and production. We shall be back!!!!”
—Ted W., Audience Member

“Romeo and Juliet is not my favorite Shakespeare… this production has changed my mind. The production brought out humor (in the first half) and an overall story arc, from comedy through tragedy, that made it far more poignant. Every single performer was superb and the costumes, set design, and lighting design (OH! the lighting!!!) was scrumptious.”
—Susan T., Audience Member
